    Description

Steering Rack Boot (Gaiter) — Single

Replacement steering rack boot (also called a gaiter/bellows) to protect the rack and inner tie rod from dust, water, and road debris. Maintains smooth steering operation and helps prevent premature rack seal wear.

    What’s Included

Sold individually (one boot). For both sides of the rack, please order quantity 2.

Clamps: Some listings include clamps; others supply the boot only. Please check the product photos and listing notes to see exactly what’s included. If unsure, contact us with your VIN/registration.

    Key Features

    • OE-matched dimensions for correct fit on rack housing and tie-rod
    • Durable rubber/TPE bellows for excellent flexibility and sealing
    • Protects rack seals and inner joints from contamination
    • Resists cracking, tearing, and ozone/weather exposure

    Check Before You Buy

    • Side/position: many cars use identical left/right boots; some are side-specific
    • Inner/outer diameters & length: match to your rack and tie-rod
    • Clamp style: ear/Oetiker, band, or OE spring type; included only if shown
    • Vent/breather features: some boots have a breather or tube—match your OE design
    • Verify fit via VIN/registration and OE/cross-reference part numbers

    When to Replace

    • Torn, split, or perished boot; grease or dirt visible around the inner joint
    • Steering rack contamination or MOT/inspection advisory/fail for damaged gaiter
    • After inner tie-rod replacement (best practice to renew the boot)

    Installation Summary

    • Mark/count turns on the outer tie-rod to preserve approximate toe; remove the outer joint
    • Remove old boot and clamps; clean rack and tie-rod surfaces (do not scratch sealing areas)
    • Slide new boot on; align correctly (some have orientation marks) and seat on both diameters
    • Fit/clamp to OE specification (use correct ear/band clamps; avoid overtightening)
    • Refit outer tie-rod to original length and book a wheel alignment to set toe accurately

Note: Images are for guidance; actual shape and contents may vary by application. If you need boots with clamps included, please confirm before purchase.

    FAQ

You can enter your Vehicle Registration Number on our homepage or manually select your vehicle details. We will then filter the parts that match your vehicle. Always double-check the Product Properties section to confirm correct fitment.

Yes! We’re constantly expanding our product range and catalog. If you can’t find the part you’re looking for, please contact us. We work with several manufacturers and may be able to source the part for you.

Many product pages include a Fitment Details tab with additional information. If you still have questions, feel free to use our message service — we’re happy to help.

Parts do not come with additional items like fitting kits or gaskets unless it is clearly specified in the Part Details section of the product page.

Brake Discs: Most standard brake discs are priced individually, but for safety reasons, they must be purchased in pairs. When required, we will automatically set the quantity to 2 in your basket.
Brake Pads: These are sold as a set (either front or rear), so one box is enough for two discs.

The Compatibility Table can be found on each product page, usually below the main product description. Look for a tab or heading labeled Compatibility.
