    Description

    FAG Control Arm Bushes

Genuine FAG control arm bushes engineered to OE specifications to restore precise suspension geometry, reduce NVH (noise, vibration & harshness) and improve handling. Bushes provide the elastic connection between the control arm and chassis, allowing controlled movement while maintaining wheel alignment.

    What’s Included

Sold individually (one bush). For both sides of the axle, order quantity 2.

Please check the product photos for exact contents. Some applications include brackets, shells or bolts; others are the bush only. If unsure, contact us with your VIN/registration.

    Key Features

    • OE-matched rubber compound and shore hardness for the correct balance of comfort and control
    • Accurate inner sleeve and outer shell dimensions for a secure, noise-free fit
    • Durable bonding and corrosion-resistant shells for long service life
    • Engineered by FAG (Schaeffler), trusted OE supplier

    Common Types & Examples

    • Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bush (compliance bush): usually larger, often voided to allow fore–aft compliance and reduce harshness.
    • Front Lower Control Arm Front Bush: typically solid or lightly voided for steering precision.
    • Upper Control Arm Bush: used in double-wishbone setups to stabilise camber under load.
    • Trailing Arm Bush: longer cylindrical style to manage longitudinal wheel movement.
    • Hydraulic (Hydro) Bush: fluid-filled for enhanced vibration damping in premium applications.
    • Voided / Directional Bush: with moulded windows and alignment arrows—must be installed in the specified orientation.
    • Eccentric / Adjuster Bush: provides camber/toe correction when rotated (where OE design allows).
    • Press-in Bush vs. Pre-assembled Arm: some vehicles require pressing the bush into the existing arm; others are supplied as a complete arm with bush pre-fitted.

    Check Before You Buy

    • Position & side: front/rear, inner/outer, left/right (some bushes are side-specific)
    • Dimensions: inner sleeve diameter/width, outer shell diameter/length, overall stack height
    • Type: solid, voided, hydraulic; directional vs. non-directional; eccentric vs. concentric
    • Mounting style: press-in shell, bonded bracket, split clamp, or supplied with carrier
    • Orientation marks: arrows/“TOP/FRONT” indicators must match OE installation
    • Verify by VIN/registration and FAG/OE part numbers for guaranteed fit

    When to Replace

    • Clunking/knocking over bumps, vague steering or instability under braking
    • Uneven or rapid tyre wear; poor alignment readings
    • Visible cracking, tearing, leaking (hydraulic), or delamination
    • MOT/inspection advisory or fail for bush play or deterioration

    Installation Summary

    • Support the vehicle safely; remove relevant arm or bracket for access
    • For press-in designs: use an appropriate press/service kit; press on the outer shell only unless OE specifies otherwise
    • Align directional/eccentric bushes to OE marks; clean bores and apply light assembly lube if specified
    • Tighten final fasteners at normal ride height to avoid preloading and premature failure
    • Torque all bolts to manufacturer specifications; replace single-use (TTY) hardware where required
    • Finish with a wheel alignment (camber/toe) to protect tyres and ensure correct handling

    Good Practice

    • Replace bushes in axle pairs for balanced response
    • Inspect ball joints, anti-roll bar links and remaining bushes at the same time
    • Do not heat or hammer bushes—use the correct press tools to prevent damage

Warranty: FAG suspension components are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty when supplied via authorised distributors. Correct installation and alignment are required for warranty validity.

    FAQ

You can enter your Vehicle Registration Number on our homepage or manually select your vehicle details. We will then filter the parts that match your vehicle. Always double-check the Product Properties section to confirm correct fitment.

Yes! We’re constantly expanding our product range and catalog. If you can’t find the part you’re looking for, please contact us. We work with several manufacturers and may be able to source the part for you.

Many product pages include a Fitment Details tab with additional information. If you still have questions, feel free to use our message service — we’re happy to help.

Parts do not come with additional items like fitting kits or gaskets unless it is clearly specified in the Part Details section of the product page.

Brake Discs: Most standard brake discs are priced individually, but for safety reasons, they must be purchased in pairs. When required, we will automatically set the quantity to 2 in your basket.
Brake Pads: These are sold as a set (either front or rear), so one box is enough for two discs.

The Compatibility Table can be found on each product page, usually below the main product description. Look for a tab or heading labeled Compatibility.
