    Description

    FAG Wheel Bearing Kits

Genuine FAG wheel bearing kits (Schaeffler) are engineered to OE specifications to restore quiet running, precise wheel alignment and long service life. Each kit is designed for the specific hub/axle layout on your vehicle and is supplied ready for correct preload and sealing.

    What’s Included

Please check the product photos for the exact contents supplied with your kit, or contact us with your VIN/registration and we’ll confirm. Typical kits may include:

    • Wheel bearing (pressed type) or complete hub unit (pre-assembled)
    • New axle nut / hub nut
    • Circlip / retaining ring and dust cap (where applicable)
    • Mounting bolts or studs (application dependent)
    • ABS encoder ring or integrated magnetic encoder (if required by the vehicle)
    • Seals or O-rings where specified

    Key Features

    • OE-matched dimensions and load rating for your vehicle
    • Precision raceways and rolling elements for low noise and long life
    • Factory-set preload; sealed and pre-lubricated for maintenance-free operation
    • Corrosion-resistant components and high-quality sealing
    • ABS-compatible designs with the correct encoder type where required

Bearing “Generations” (What You Might Receive)

    • Gen1: Press-in cartridge bearing (separate hub). Requires pressing in/out and a circlip.
    • Gen2: Bearing with integral flange on one side (reduced parts count).
    • Gen3: Complete hub/bearing unit with inner and outer flanges (bolt-on).

    Check Before You Buy

    • Axle & position: front or rear; some vehicles differ left/right or by brake package.
    • Bearing/hub type: press-in (Gen1) vs. hub unit (Gen2/Gen3).
    • ABS encoder: with/without encoder; magnetic polarity must match the sensor.
    • Dimensions: inner bore, outer diameter, width; flange diameter, PCD and stud count for hub units.
    • Fasteners: nut thread size and any single-use (TTY) bolts required.
    • Verify by VIN/registration and FAG/OE part numbers for guaranteed fit.

    When to Replace

    • Humming or growling noise that increases with road speed or when cornering
    • Wheel play or roughness when the wheel is spun by hand
    • ABS warning light or erratic wheel-speed readings (encoder failure)
    • Heat at the hub, visible seal damage or grease leakage

    Installation Summary

    • Pressed bearings (Gen1): use a press and correct drifts; press only on the race being seated. Do not hammer. Fit circlip and orient any encoder to face the sensor.
    • Hub units (Gen2/Gen3): clean mating faces; torque mounting bolts and the axle/hub nut to OE spec (often torque + angle). Do not preload or back off the nut unless OE says so.
    • Replace single-use hardware (axle nuts/TTY bolts). Keep encoder/sensor areas clean and undamaged.
    • After fitting, road test and recheck for noise/play; perform alignment if suspension work was also carried out.

    Good Practice

    • Replace the failed side; inspect the opposite side for wear
    • Check wheel-speed sensors and wiring; clean rust from sensor seats
    • Avoid pressing through the rolling elements (this will damage the bearing)

Warranty: FAG wheel bearing kits are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty when supplied via authorised distributors. Correct installation and use of specified torque procedures are required for warranty validity.

    FAQ

You can enter your Vehicle Registration Number on our homepage or manually select your vehicle details. We will then filter the parts that match your vehicle. Always double-check the Product Properties section to confirm correct fitment.

Yes! We’re constantly expanding our product range and catalog. If you can’t find the part you’re looking for, please contact us. We work with several manufacturers and may be able to source the part for you.

Many product pages include a Fitment Details tab with additional information. If you still have questions, feel free to use our message service — we’re happy to help.

Parts do not come with additional items like fitting kits or gaskets unless it is clearly specified in the Part Details section of the product page.

Brake Discs: Most standard brake discs are priced individually, but for safety reasons, they must be purchased in pairs. When required, we will automatically set the quantity to 2 in your basket.
Brake Pads: These are sold as a set (either front or rear), so one box is enough for two discs.

The Compatibility Table can be found on each product page, usually below the main product description. Look for a tab or heading labeled Compatibility.
